What exactly is niche marketing?

Niche marketing is a form of marketing where you concentrate on a specific target market. It is a great way to narrow your focus on a market and build a business.
Choose one section or sub-section of a niche and dominate it by focusing all your marketing efforts on it. Choosing a single niche would make it easier for you to dominate and build a reputation as an expert on your chosen field.

Concentrating on the right niche is my priority. By choosing a wrong niche I could end up not making money at all.
My objective when doing a niche research is to:
1. Find a profitable sub market of a bigger market where people are already spending money.
2. Find a market with less competition but there should be other players as well. Having competitors also mean that other people are making money out of the niche.
3. As the primary source of income will be from Adsense, I pick a niche where people are advertising on the niche in Google.
